Our Government Services division is seeking a Commercial Manager to work as part of a team implementing a key ADF program within KBR’s Major Service Provider Program (MSP) for the Department of Defence.
The role is responsible for the provision of financial advice and expertise, assistance with contract management, and the provision of a number of other commercial functions across the program. The position will also support the development of the document package to achieve Gate 2. The role will work with a wide range of stakeholders including Defence client representatives and sub-contractors to KBR
Assist with the commercial and procurement functions in the pre-bid, bid, delivery and project close out phases, including planning and developing commercial documentation for projects
Manage the commercial relationships with relevant clients and sub-contractors, including planning and undertaking due diligence
Support the development of the project cost model
Assist with export controls and international trafficking in arms regulations (ITAR) advice, management and compliance
Assist with commercial risk, opportunity and issues management
10 years experience in commercial management or similar role
Tertiary qualifications in law, commerce, business or equivalent
Strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to collaborate and work in a team
Experience in managing negotiations directly with clients or sub-contractors is highly desirable
The ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and manage competing priorities
Experience in Defence and/or Commonwealth Government contracting and procurement policy and practices is desirable
Must be an Australian Citizen and hold a current or previous AGSVA security clearance level at NV1 or higher
