Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, Division of Medicaid is recruiting for Registered Nurse, Senior (RN) positions for our Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT) Unit. Complete medical reviews for services or durable medical equipment requested by Idaho Medicaid members under 21 years of age through EPSDT.
Provide consultation and liaison with health care providers and community stakeholders.
Determine safety and appropriateness of services.
Managing your own caseload while contributing to the EPSDT Team.
Work on multi-disciplinary teams that support complex Medicaid members.
Managing your own caseload while contributing to the Nurse Reviewer team.
Licensed as a Professional or Registered Nurse in Idaho as defined by Idaho Code 54-1408 or state licensure as a Registered Nurse pursuant to the Nurse Licensure Compact, Idaho Code 54-1418, in one of the following compact states: Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Wisconsin.
Experience performing nursing assessments, and developing and implementing nursing care plans.
Additional Qualifications: Are not required; however, having the minimum qualifications and the experience and/or education below will increase your score.
Good knowledge of rehabilitation environments. Typically gained by at least two years of experience working closely with physical, speech, and/or occupational therapists in a rehabilitative environment; OR board certification as a rehabilitation nurse.
Experience working with sensitive medical information. Typically gained by at least one year of experience working closely with clinicians and patients regarding sensitive medical procedures.
Good knowledge of psychiatric and behavior health standards of practice. Typically gained by at least one year of experience working in a psychiatric or mental health setting OR board certification as a psychiatric nurse practitioner.
Good knowledge of standard medical practices when managing medical care for the disabled population. Typically gained by at least one year of experience working in a home or clinic setting with persons with disabilities.
Ability to navigate, understand and interpret the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). Typically gained through policy experience of public healthcare.
