As a Division HR Communication Manager at Caterpillar, you will manage the communication processfor the Building Construction Products (BCP) division . Your existing skills and knowledge will be integral in your success as you work with the leadership team to develop and implement communication strategies to achieve divisional objectives.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Developing communication strategies, plans, services and deliverables for the Division Vice President(s) and the VP’s direct reports
Ensuring development, production and measurement of internal and external communication materials to achieve departmental objectives while still in sync with corporate objectives
Managing local media relations where necessary and serving as a liaison with Corporate Public Affairs
Working directly with in-house and outside designers and printers to develop and produce employee communications
Determining budget and managing costs for projects
Serving as the communication focal point and delivering communications to employees within the division(s)
Providing service of quality and value that facilitates employee communications and supports the development, marketing and promotion of products and services to internal customers and process partners
Partnering with peers and delegating tactical functions where applicable
Defining a structured communications program for employees and providing leadership to create and develop themes, formats, medias and timetable for major programs and presentations and orchestrates from concept to execution
Acting as an advisor or consultant to senior management on communications, Organizational Change Management (OCM) issues and strategic initiatives or employee issues
Developing and maintaining Division's identity program, integrating key messages and visual identifiers and ensure consistency with corporate brand
Will have supervisory responsibilities
Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, communications, or public relations field
5-7 years of progressively responsible job-related experience in communications, public relations, public affairs, social media (Facebook, Twitter, Television, etc.), and/or marketing related fields
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a communications strategy highly desired
Able to collaborate and work effectively with the team
Ability to work in a very fast paced organization
Ability to influence executive level leaders and to lead a small group of communications professional
Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific actions
Familiarity with Caterpillar functional areas, policies and procedures
Extensive experience in communications
