Client Service Associates will consistently follow high standards of professional ethics and adhere to legal and regulatory requirements in dealing with others and/or performing work activities. Client Service Associates will strive to continuously grow their knowledge and improve their understanding of the personal financial situations of clients. As skill and knowledge improve, the path to licensing opens with successful licensing completion leading to Paraplanner or Associate Financial Advisor promotions.ResponsibilitiesPosition Function: Client Service relating to investments and financial planningnTake quick action to complete tasks as directed including the execution of trades and money movement requests accepted by licensed staffnReview, research, and prepare timely responses to client requestsnMaintain client contact to keep clients informed of status of their case progressnPreparation for client interactions - meetings, phone calls, and/or e-mailsnPreparing visual aids, charts, graphs, tables and other visual aidsnDraft e-mails, meeting agendas, follow-up meeting notes, summary letters, financial plan deliverables, and morenPreparation of investment recommendationsnPrepare preliminary portfolio review and analysisnPrepare preliminary trade recommendationsnCreating and updating Investment Policy Statements to document client investment objectives and expectationsnComplete Managed Account Review documentationnFinancial planning activitiesnReview and analyze client datanWork with advisory team to follow-up with clients to gather additional datanAnalyze and input updated client data in financial planning softwarenPrepare preliminary scenarios and recommendations evaluate product solutions for advisor review and use in client meetingsnUpdate and finalize changes to financial plans as directed updating planning deliverables to reflect changesnImplement new client relationship models using Ameriprise turnkey tools and templates to assist advisors in implementing improved technologically enhanced processes to service clientsnAccurately document and record client updates and client preferencesnComplete documentation improving meeting summary process for client meetings including the capturing of tasks and entering of meeting follow-up data into client record management systemnPerform other duties as assignednResponsibilities and Time Allocation may change over time to meet the needs of the practice and can include other duties as assigned by the financial advisor.nRequired QualificationsKey Traits:nPositive attitude and sincere willingness to constantly learn and grownDirect attention to detail and organizationnStrong computer and software skills.nEffective time management including the ability to work independently, prioritize, and track multiple tasks and projects through completionnEffective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and other advisors/staffnAbility to understand and adhere to rules and regulations as required by law, industry regulators, and Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc.nEducation and Work Background:nCollege degreen1-2 years' previous work experience in a client service environment where strong math and analytical skills including problem solving and critical thinking were necessary.nOrganization and time management skills are requirednFinancial Industry training or experience, specializing in personal finance, would be beneficialnUpon demonstrated ability, candidates may be sponsored to pursue securities licensing and certificationPay and BenefitsnSalary based on experie ce and competitive with industry standardsnBonus eligible; prorated for the first year of servicenBenefits include health care, 401(k), Paid Time Off, and/or workplace flexibilitynWe are an equal opportunity employer.
