Our Division of Business Management is looking for a data driven Public & Policy Analyst - Advto join their Administrator's Office. This position is located in the Division of Business Management (DBM), which is located at the new Hill Farms State Office Building at 4822 Madison Yards Way in Madison.

Position Summary:

The* Program & Policy Analyst – Adv* position is responsible for conducting research, providing guidance, and offering support to the Division on issues related to the Division’s Performance and Process Improvement Program, Division Goals, and legislative issues. This position serves as a contact for legislative contacts, performance measures, labor analysis, and process improvement in the Division. It also participates in the analyses and resolution of a broad range of performance measure development and implementation issues, including developing performance measure program and policy recommendations, as well as implementing plans.

In addition, this position provides recommendations on policy issues, performance measure selection, performance analysis, labor analysis, and research into best practices on performance measurement and solutions, which integrate with process improvement and quality program efforts for DBM Bureaus.

Qualifications:

Minimally qualified candidates must have the following:

  • Experience developing policy or program information for customers or colleagues (this may include memos, reports, presentations or other written/verbal communication).

  • Experience developing legislative or department policy or written procedures.

  • Experience developing mechanisms for collecting, analyzing, or presenting data.

Type of Employment: Full Time (40 hrs/week)

Salary: This position is in schedule-range 07-03 with a starting salary of $46,738-$65,520 annually, depending on qualifications, plus great benefits. A 12 month probationary period is required. Pay for internal candidates will be in accordance with the State Compensation Plan rules.
