Duties and Responsibilities
Cover major developed rate and currency markets with a focus on the US and continental Europe. Using various forms of fundamental, technical and valuation analysis, propose trade ideas that can be implemented in a wide variety of strategies and portfolios.
Conduct differentiated research on topical subjects that can impact risks taken and portfolio positioning by using both traditional and non-traditional big data sets. Make recommendations on how your conclusions should be expressed in various portfolios.
Continually contribute to the evaluation and enhancement of the existing investment process.
Actively participate in challenging existing positions and views in a collegial and respectful manner.
Effectively communicate all views and research (in written, verbal and presentation form) to team members both within the Global Bonds team and throughout the broader organization.
Communicate views, outlook and process externally to existing and prospective clients. Take active role in elevating the visibility of the fixed income business and broader organization.
Provide direction and leadership to the global macro research effort. This includes providing a process framework for conducting analytically rigorous research.

Technical Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
Ten years of strategy or portfolio management experience required
CFA or post graduate degree preferred
Strong understanding of quantitative and statistical methodology
Experience of extracting and analyzing traditional and nontraditional data sets from use of statistical packages and big data sets
Knowledge of Bloomberg and other economic, research and market data platforms
Demonstrated and proven investment process for major developed markets with a preferred emphasis in the US and/or continental Europe
Independent judgement with strong analytical and risk assessment skills
Superb written and verbal communication skills
Proven leadership capability
Ongoing competence in the role to be assessed by:
Annual Performance Appraisal
Completion of all assigned Compliance training
Annual Attestation (Knowledge and Competence in-scope roles only)
For those in scope of Knowledge & Competence (MiFID II)
Knowledge of financial markets, financial markets function and the impact of economic figures and national/regional/global events on markets
Understanding of issues relating to market abuse and anti-money laundering
At a minimum the role will require you to:
