As a key strategic partner, the BioResearch Quality & Compliance (BRQC) organization supports global R&D at Janssen.
As the Associate Manager, Visual Analytics & Reporting (BRQC Quality Analytics), you will be a key individual contributor in delivering Data Science projects to improve BRQC’s ability to proactively identify, assess, and manage quality and compliance risks - and meet business objectives. In this role, you will be instrumental in the development of data pipelines, self-service business intelligence and reporting tools and the delivery of impactful metrics, visualizations and analytic insight. You will seek to stay ahead of evolving business objectives and technology advancements in anticipation of potential impacts and opportunities for improvements in data linking, accessibility and quality across BRQC. You will bring extensive technical experience with synthesizing, integrating, visualizing, analyzing and delivering data and insight. You bring real passion for the Data Sciences and influencing decision makers with impactful analysis and visualizations.
Lead Quality Analytics project activities - from initial planning & kickoff through requirements analysis, design, implementation and post-delivery.
Establish partnerships across BRQC to better understand key business challenges and frame problem(s); align with business partners on requirements, project timelines, success criteria, and strategies for communications, user testing and deployment.
Perform source data analysis; partner with SMEs to synthesize business rules and contextualize data for advanced analysis and reporting.
Anticipate business questions through development of self-service dashboards, tools and capabilities; apply creative solutions to provide analytic insight and improve situational awareness in support of risk management strategies.
Support BRQC data improvement projects and follow standard methodologies and approaches to fulfill business objectives.
Partner with IT to translate business needs into technical requirements for executing data integration and engineering projects; serve as a technical resource for data and analytic related software and technologies
Bachelor’s degree (preferably advanced degree) in Computer Science, Information / Data Science, Engineering or Mathematics/Statistics.
Experience and Skills:
3+ years professional experience in Healthcare, Medical Devices, and/or Pharmaceutical industries.
Familiarity with principles relating to CSV, GxP and elements of Quality Management Systems (e.g. Audit, CAPA, Effectiveness Checks, etc.)
Proficient in one or more scripting/programming languages (i.e. Python, R, Perl, PHP, Java) and/or developing advanced SQL aggregation, hierarchical and analytic queries.
Experience with one or more analytic/statistical tools (e.g. SAS, SPSS, Oracle Analytics, Cloudera, HIVE, Teradata Data Lab, JMP, Minitab, MATLAB, etc.).
Familiarity with integrating datasets and an understanding of data analysis workflows and models for analytic applications.
Experience developing analytic dashboards and data visualizations (e.g. Spotfire, Qlik, Tableau, etc.).
Excellent analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment with focus on communication and timeliness, attention to detail, and dedication to quality.
Ability to work seamlessly as part of a diverse team that is geographically dispersed.
This position may require up to 10% domestic travel as business demands.
