Optum is looking for a business analyst for a new strategic initiative to be responsible for measurement, reporting, and analysis of marketing campaigns including, digital channels (paid search, digital display and video, remarketing), offline channels (direct response TV, direct mail, email, events, and more). This role will also focus on standardizing and automating, where appropriate, all aspects of conducting analytic measures to evaluate campaign results and also provide analytic support for ad hoc requests and experimental design for campaigns. This role will need to work seamlessly with various constituencies across the company and build successful relationships with key stakeholders to help drive results. Additionally, this person must have a proven history of collaboration, driving successful outcomes in matrixed organizations and excellent organizational and project management discipline. A strong data & analytical skillset and presentation development skills are required, with a demonstrated ability to craft clear and compelling stories/messages from complex situations and analysis. We are looking for an individual who has strong analytical and critical thinking skills, combined with business and marketing acumen, strategic business focus, and excellent problem-solving skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Be able to create a strong collaborative work environment to successfully develop partnerships

  • Specifically, this analyst will be responsible for:

  • Partnering with the internal marketing team, external agencies, and business partners on marketing measurement for all aspects media

  • Delivering comprehensive learnings and recommendations to business partners and marketing leadership, working with internal delivery teams on media mix modeling, multi-channel attribution, and campaign analytics

  • Leading the analytics of a new product launches, providing thought leadership on measuring the impact of upper funnel media on brand and business KPIs

  • Developing a complex marketing measurement reporting processes

  • Documenting process flows and creating corresponding abstracts on the process flows

  • Developing user guides (“how to” manuals) to support the training development

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling; or a Master’s degree in a quantitative field

  • 2+ years of campaign measurement or digital marketing experience

  • 2+ years with Google Analytics

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, such as Excel, Visio, Word and PowerPoint

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Other Desired Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of media and campaign related data, measures, and KPIs

  • Experience working on measurement of campaign level KPIs; media tracking and performance measurement

  • Knowledge of data management platforms (DMPs) for digital media activation and targeting

  • Health insurance experience
