Primary responsibilities for all subsidiaries include: Data entry, Data validation, performing QA/QC on asset and land-base records into geospatial format in the GIS for infrastructure construction projects and producing related maps, reports, and queries.nRepresentative Duties and Responsibilities:nProcesses, prepares and converts data to enter into GIS from a variety of data formatsnProvides specialized queries, maps and reports to meet customer requirements/specificationsnAnalyzes current business processes and recommends best practice solutionsnInterfaces with users; documents requested/needed changesnPerforms weekly analysis on mission critical GIS data to audit and sustain data integritynPrepare specifications, procedures, manuals, project documents and reportsnWorking knowledge of geodatabases, georeferencing and spatial and attribute data entry and editingnEducation and Experience:nRequired:nBachelor’s degree in geography, GIS, Computer Science/Information Systems, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experiencen0-2 years of experience with industry-standard GISnPreferred: GISP CertificationnRelated Work Experience:nRequired:nAbility to quickly learn new skills and abilities with database technologies, data modelingnAbility to work independently and conduct research for innovative solutionsnExperience with Esri geodatabase design, structure and management, versioning and geoprocessingnWork with existing GIS standards and assist development and roll-out of new proceduresnExperience with adding and removing data in feature classesnPreferred:nExperience with Natural Gas UtilitynExperience using Esri Data Reviewer and Workflow Manager ExtensionsnStrong understanding of content and document management applicationsnUnderstanding of field GPS and data collection systemsnEnhance existing GIS capabilities by seeking opportunities for improvement of existing methods, tools, or workflowsnApplicant may possess a combination of equivalent education and work experience.nSpecific Skills & Knowledge:nRequired:nEsri ArcGIS 10.2x – advanced proficiencynMS Office suite (Access, Excel, Word) – advanced proficiencynSharePoint – intermediate proficiencynModel Builder – basic proficiencyn Preferred:nCurrent GIS industry trends (field data collection, GPS technology, etc.)nMS Office suite (PowerPoint and Visio)nData Reviewer (ArcGIS Extension)nUtility Pipeline Data Model (UPDM)nLaserfiche (Document Management System)nGeometric Network – intermediate proficiencynPowerBI - basic proficiencynEEO EmployernApex is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
