Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting for a Senior Manager, Data Protection Technologies within its Information Security and Risk Management (ISRM) group. This position will be based out of Raritan, NJ.

You will be part of the Information Security & Risk Management (ISRM) organization leading the Data Protection Technologies team, focused on engineering, deploying and operating leading-edge information security solutions in support of the enterprise protection needs and vision. This solution set includes both data element protection technologies at rest (such as format preserving encryption and tokenization) and protection technologies for data in motion (such as utilized in Enterprise Messaging) to assist the enterprise in meeting data protection requirements.
You will be responsible for collaborating with ISRM colleagues as well as partnering with the Global Messaging and Data Platform and Analytics teams to craft the Data Protection Team’s strategy and ensuring day to day priorities are aligned with data protection goals.
You will lead a team focused on protecting J&J information in the e-mail and data analytics environments
Foster internal relationships and provide guidance to technical and business teams as it relates to secure messaging and protection of data residing in large enterprise data platforms
Deploy a data tokenization/encryption platform following J&J’s SDLC methodology and establish an intake process for prospective consumers of the technology
Develop and maintain the Data Protection Team roadmap
Support ISRM colleagues and project teams on security issues and related internal control gaps
Establish and maintain a tier 3 support model for incidents with a focus on rapid resolution of security and operational issues
Partner with ISRM, IT contacts, and the business during response activities
Maintain industry connections across peer groups and research teams to continuously understand new and emerging technologies and solutions that maybe disruptive for addressing and mitigating threats at J&J
Deliver comprehensive reporting and metrics that demonstrate the effectiveness of security controls
Coordinate with the Cyber Security Operations Center personnel to identify threats and recommend countermeasures
Mentor and coach peers as well as junior members of the internal staff
Bachelor's degree, or minimum 15+ years of experience working in IT
Microsoft or other related certifications are a plus
Minimum 15 years working with IT and a minimum of 2 years working on Information Security initiatives.
Experience deploying and supporting Information Security tools that provide Data Loss Prevention and/or protect sensitive data while maintaining usability via encryption or tokenization such as Voltage or Protegrity.
Technical understanding of Microsoft O365/Exchange Online/Cisco Email Security architectures and administration
Deep understanding and actual hands on experience deploying the Domain Message Authentication Reporting & Conformance (DMARC) standard.
Shares authoritative knowledge of future trends, tools, procedures and systems in security, internal controls and risk management
Confirmed experience leading an IT team in a complex environment
Effectively works with virtual, global teams – including diverse groups of people with varied backgrounds and cultural experiences
Good interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus (internal and external to J&J)
Results oriented/sense of urgency – ability to work towards tight timelines
Critical thinking and analytical skills
Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining IT services
Demonstrated time management ability, juggling multiple priorities over spans of time
