Microbulk Driver – Class 3

Major responsibilities:

  • Delivery of liquid Carbon Dioxide and Liquid Nitrogen to scheduled customers using a single or tandem axle tanker. Includes responsibility for daily loading of the tanker.

  • Conduct pre and post trip inspections,including but not limited to, lifting the cab hood, inspecting the engine and components. Then noting and explaining defects or deficiencies.

  • Check and placard vehicle according to Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations.

  • Complete and maintain all required training as assigned.

  • Complete daily delivery logs and other necessary reports.

  • Complete monthly credit card reconciliations as well as any other necessary reports in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Qualifications - Education and Professional experience:

  • Valid, incident free, applicable provincial Class 3 Driver's License with air brake endorsement and 3 years’ experience.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Have a strong commitment toward safety. Remain attentive in hazard recognition.

  • Experience in Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) [considered an asset]

  • Must have basic computer & mobile device skills for email and summary reports in Excel.

  • Knowledge of the food & beverage industry would be an asset

  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand gas systems would be an asset.
