The Red Hat Training and Certification team is looking for a Senior Technical Instructor to join us in North America. In this role, you’ll support our training deliveries across North America (NA), primarily delivering training sessions for our NA customers and partners. Upon occasion, you may also develop custom training materials. As a Senior Technical Instructor, you will also work with sales teams to craft customer-specific training proposals. You’ll need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills and willingness to travel to visit customers. You should also have solid agile facilitation and coaching skills and the ability to manage a room of attendees through heated discussions and opinionated stances.
Primary job responsibilities
Deliver high-quality Red Hat Training classes
Develop, prepare, and deliver custom workshops and webinars
Assess learning needs and develop training plans for customers
Perform and support upskilling activities for partner instructors
Be inclusive and interact with all attendees
5+ years of industry experience
Experience with application development or application modernization
Knowledge of application architectures like application servers, integration patterns, microservices, JEE, continuous integration (CI) and continuous development (CD), build management, etc.
Knowledge of and experience with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and container technologies like Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker
Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) Certification, or ability to pursue certification within 30 days of being hired, additional certifications are a plus
Ability to deliver high-quality training sessions both in person and virtually
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to quickly learn new technologies
Willingness to travel up to 60% to customer locations throughout NA

Good situational awareness
Ability to adapt and pivot easily without explicit instruction
