SC Department of Public Safety IT Consultant - 60025073 in Richland County, South Carolina

The person in this position will provide technical support and training to school districts and agency staff on various software applications, primarily the current Student Information System (PowerSchool). Develop and maintain documentation central to the Student Information System and any related data systems. Serve as liaison between department and stakeholder groups affected by supported applications. Manage servers maintained by the Office of Research and Data Analysis (ORDA) for PowerSchool testing purposes. Support stakeholders through direct support of applications, hardware, and software. Act as a liaison between ORDA and stakeholder groups affected by agency supported applications (including but not limited to the student information system). Manage ORDA support cases. Perform other duties as assigned.

This position is located in the Office of Research and Data Analysis. Minimum and Additional Requirements: A high school diploma and experience in office automation systems, data communications system design, installation, operation, repair, sales or marketing, or processing of information in a data processing environment or related systems. A degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. Preferred Qualifications: A bachelor's degree and four (4) years experience in technical documentation for Student Information Systems (SIS) or other database systems.
