SC Department of Public Safety Program Coordinator II / P61057252 in Richland County, South Carolina
Under limited supervision, the Program Coordinator II will perform monitoring activities related to the review and analysis of South Carolina Department of Social Services (SCDSS) programs and services; participate in activities related to monitoring, evaluation and quality assurance of contracts; and will participate in monitoring Requests for Proposals (RFP) solicited by the SCDSS.
Analyze, review and make recommendations for a variety of SCDSS contracts, programs and services; take the leadership role in conducting meetings with SCDSS Administration as well as with contractors/subcontractors and other external stakeholders as needed in order to facilitate ongoing program improvements.
Lead the initiative of uniform implementation and interpretation of state laws, federal regulations, policies and procedures as they relate to RFPs and contracted programs and services.
Participate in the development and monitoring of corrective action plans (CAPs) based on the scope of work defined in the contract(s) as needed.
Request and critically examine data from SCDSS to identify trends for accuracy; utilize data from various sources to compile large-scale quarterly and other reports to demonstrate contract monitoring outcomes as well as the evaluation and quality assurance efforts.
Plan, develop, and implement administrative activities and provide relevant feedback to SCDSS Administration.
Conduct special projects to inform program areas of practices being conducted at the request of SCDSS Administration.
Minimum and Additional Requirements: A Bachelor's Degree and three (3) years of professional experience in social services programs, correctional, education, business administration, general administrative management, or relevant program experience.
A Master's Degree and two (2) years of professional experience in social services programs, correctional, education, business administration, general administrative management, or relevant program experience.
or an equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by the Division of State Human Resources. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledgeable of laws, regulations, policies and procedures relevant to the area of employment. Ability to exercise judgment and discretion; establish and maintain effective working relationships; interpret and apply laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
