This position is seeking a student currentlyenrolled in a Mechanical Engineering degree program. The ideal candidate shouldhave a passion for vehicles and transformation systems technology, accompaniedwith exceptional communication skills, great attitude, be a result orientedteam player, and a great problem-solver. The Mechanical Engineers will design,development, testing and support production of Textron Systems Marine and LandSystems’ family of Land and Marine Vehicles as well as integration of vehicularcomponents, systems and subassemblies in conjunction with new design, productimprovement, field and production problem resolution, and other assigned tasks.
The Mechanical Engineers also createengineering model and drawing in CAD system such as SolidWorks, NX, CATIA andPro-E. Perform engineering calculations, writing specifications, formulatingsketches, testing criteria, failure analysis, cost and schedulingestimates. Provide technical support todesigners, draftsmen, and test engineers for technical data packagedelivery. Be able to rapidly changeroles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging workenvironment.
PursuingBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
GPAof 3.2 or better preferred. Technical internship experience preferred.
Applicantmust be able to demonstrate a solid foundation in mechanical design principles.
Applicantshould have experience with mechanism development, performing hand and finite elementcalculations, prototyping, packaging, performance specifications, materialtests, and research investigations.
Desireand ability to operate in a team environment is required.
Abilityto use computer-aided design tools is required
Computerskills to include proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Mustbe able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and possess goodleadership skills.
