He/She will ensure assigned network infrastructure is functioning at optimum levels while maximizing system availability.nSpecific Duties Include:nAssume operational responsibility for LAN/WAN, wireless, telephony, and monitoringnsystems as assignednRespond quickly to issues affecting the network environment to maintain highnavailability and uptimenPromote standardization across technical environments, driving changes when necessarynfor architectural improvements, supportability, and reliabilitynEstablish strong working relationships with peers and business unit contactsnInitiate and maintain customer communication and system documentation as needednCreate and maintain documentation on the assigned network environment and supportnproceduresnWork effectively with limited directionnWork in an after-hours and/or on-call rotation as needednOther duties as assignednMinimum Qualifications:nKnowledge and understanding of network management tools and protocolsnKnowledge and understanding of technical experience including: IP routing, switching,nload balancing, fire wall, and advanced network automation techniques/solutionsn5-7 years experience with a Cisco network environment supporting data center andncorporate-facing router/switch infrastructurenExperience with IP Telephony/VoIP and Cisco Network Security applications, systems,nand hardware is highly desirablenUnderstanding of network security protocols and best practice implementationsnExperience with common management and reporting tools such as Solarwinds or CisconPrime a plusnExperience with tools to perform packet capturing, network taps, and network analysis.nDemonstrated history of staying current in field of expertise.nEducation Requirements:nBachelor’s degree, or equivalent education.
