This job was posted by https://illinoisjoblink.illinois.gov : For more information, please see: https://illinoisjoblink.illinois.gov/ada/r/jobs/6422949 Lab TechniciannEducation:nHigh school diploma/GED requirednSkills:nGood written and verbal communication skillsnProficient in Microsoft office preferred, Microsoft outlooknAttention to detail.nExperience:n1-2 years lab experience in medical devices desirablenKnowledge of testing methodsnFamiliar with various testing procedures, and equipment is a plusnAbility to manage large projects.nSpecialized Knowledge:nGood documentation practicesnConversant with various laboratory equipment ex.nVibration table, compression testing, altitude chamber, environmental conditioning chambers and aging testing.nMajor Responsibilities:nPrepare test specimens and operate lab equipmentnPerform laboratory conditioning and distribution testing (Condition & Distribution of cases, drops testing, Compression testing, altitude testing, visual and sorting, labeling and receiving/shipping of cases using tracking system, etc.)nGenerate, record results in lab notebooks and report data in compliance with good documentation practices.nKnowledgeable with measurement instruments and devicesnClose attention to detail, stringently follow lab protocols, safety standards and testing procedures.nWork under the laboratory managers supervisionnAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. sporadically throughout the day when needed.nSitting or standing for long periods throughout the day.nWork Environment:nOffice, Lab and warehouse environment where employee would be standing, sitting and some lifting throughout the day.nEEO EmployernApex is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
